INTRODUCING

THE SCARF

ARTISTS STATEMENT

‘My beginning led me to painting flowers…oversized, bold and vibrant. They remain a major source of my inspiration. Over time I became captivated by the charm and “character” of the architecture of the world, and the warm play of light against distinctive, stately buildings. I am intrigued by aged subjects such as old stone, chipped paint, and worn, rotting woodwork – textures that invite the hand to touch. I find joy in simplicity…quiet lanes, open countryside, and quaint villages. Travelling is my passion…I am drawn to subjects with a history…people and places that tell their story and honour the past.

Art is not what you see, but what you make others see’
